"Recovery is about progression, not about perfection" - Unknown

I have a purpose, I have a why, that’s why I am that guy!

I approach my business with much tenacity, drive, and intensity because my purpose, why, or reason is so strong. My reason stems from my childhood friend, Warren Muldrow. He was diagnosed with schizoaffective disorder in his early 20s and he was a former 2012 ESPN basketball division one recruit (https://www.espn.com/college-sports/basketball/recruiting/player/_/id/144256/warren-muldrow).

He has had such a rough early adulthood being in and out of prison, homeless, and he's been crippled by the myriad of traumas that he has encountered at such a young age. His afflictions remind me of a book that I read called "The Body Keeps Score" by Bessel Van Der Kolk. In the book, he expounds heavily on the dangers of trauma and how it obstrcuts so much of your rational mind.

"We have learned that trauma is not just an event that took place sometime in the past; it is also the imprint left by that experience on mind, brain, and body. This imprint has ongoing consequences for how the human organism manages to survive in the present. Trauma results in a fundamental reorganization of the way mind and brain manage perceptions. It changes not only how we think and what we think about, but also our very capacity to think."

Warren's continual cycle of poverty, jail, and drugs, has had a myriad of afflictions on his mental and physical health. He is still trying to hold on, but luckily here I am to help support him, the way that I can. He was first placed in these scenarios by threatening a police officer because of warrants that they were searching for him. Then he went to jail and has been a rollercoaster ever since. It has taken a toll on his life, family, and community. Here's an article, detailing his story (https://www.chron.com/about/slideshow/HC-Quest-for-Care-146687.php).

At Rkease company one of our core values is community and we stand by that 100%. This is why I created the 5 Pillars of Stress education system: to teach stress education on how to reduce cortisol in the body and strain in the mind. In the 5 pillars, we make jingles to different stress concepts on how these concepts can be improved in their lives to make them stress-proof versions of themselves.

Lastly, we conduct a jingle creation and music therapy session that has to do with an organization that can be used to enhance engagement and company camaraderie! I did the workshop many times with Leap Junction and each time they enjoyed it and it only got better every time we did it. They said they would buy it for $150-$200 a workshop and that's fine with me.

Overall, this comes down to helping Warren as much as I can through my work ethic, positivity, and inspiration efforts. I hope everyone enjoyed the blog and their day is full of rest, kindness, and ease! Peace! :)
