Employee retention, employee retention, let me get your attention

Now in order to understand why the RKease workshop is important to the workforce, we must break down what employee retention is. Employee retention is one of the most important jobs of a HR professional because you do not want to lose staff that is quality and is producing for your organisation. Therefore it is important to learn how to retain them, hence why it's called Employee Retention and the RKease workshop is a strategy within that category for HR.

According to an article by Netsuite, "employee retention is defined , "as an organisation’s ability to prevent employee turnover, or the number of people who leave their job in a certain period, either voluntarily or involuntarily. Increasing employee retention has a direct impact on business performance and success." (https://www.netsuite.com/portal/resource/articles/human-resources/employee-retention.shtml#:~:text=Employee%20retention%20is%20defined%20as%20an%20organization's%20ability%20to%20hold,increase%20retention%20of%20top%20talent.). As stated above, employee retention has a direct impact on business performance and success, for example it reduces cost for employee turnover and keeps performers high on the board. Here are other reasons listed below as to why employee retention is important.

  • Cost reduction

  • Recruitment and training efficiency

  • Increased productivity

  • Improved employee morale

  • Experienced employees

  • Better customer service

  • Improved employee satisfaction and experience

  • Stronger corporate culture

  • Increased revenue

Now for the RKease workshop, there are various ways to prove that my workshop is an employee retention strategy.

First of all in my workshop, we "cultivate team spirit". We do this by making a jingle for the company core value, employee characteristic, and company core activities. By adding music it enables the staff to feel more engaged, happier and feel good about working at the company they are currently at. The next aspect as well is that an employee retention strategy is to speak on work-life balance and offer wellness programs, in the beginning of my workshop, I speak on the five pillar stress education ideology, which gives a breakdown on various aspects of stress and how it affects the mind-body connection. Lastly, the workshop promotes recognition among employees by making music about an employee characteristic!! This is why my workshop is exciting and should definitely be considered by businesses if they want to retain their employees and staff! With that being said, I hope you enjoy the blog and stay tuned for more soon, peace!! :)
