"Networking is an essential part to building wealth" - Armstrong Williams
Building a network, talking to people to connect, so I always come correct
Throughout my entrepreneurial journey, it has been great to meet all of these new people which I have been able to meet and build relationships with. As they say your network is your net worth, and I have been sure to be able to enhance my network and talk to different business owners have been able to give me advice, who have been in different steps of their entrepreneurial journey. Networking is an essential business skill and it has definitely paid dividends for my business future, now let me share some valuable experiences.
(Patio Lanterns: Interval)
One of the networking events which stood out to me was definitely Patio Lanterns at Tech Alliance, it was phenomenal!! I learned so much from different business owners, and leaders in the community while I was there. Something that I learned there was from the Interval founders was about a feedback loop, as you must always take constructive criticism and then look to iterate your product or service so that it fits within the marketplace.
Also, there I was able to meet a VP of product management and then we were able to speak on a philosophy called Ikigai. Ikigai is a belief system within the Japanese culture which gives someone a reason for their vocation. My reason for being is to enlighten, illuminate, and make sure people are well-informed when it comes to entrepreneurship so enhance their lives and well-being.
Lastly, networking has enabled me to broaden my horizons, perspectives, attitudes, and ideas. While networking and hearing what other people are doing it has enabled me to learn so many different types of businesses and walks of life, which I am thankful for. By being more open minded and inclusive, it broadens my ideas as well and it helps me to be able to create more ideas that are going to bolster the innovation economy in Canada and beyond.
I hope you enjoyed this blog, and stay tuned for more tomorrow, peace!! :)
