"A pivot is a change in strategy without a change in vision." - Eric Ries

Pivot, a part of the process, so no one can stop this

Over the course of a year, I have been able to do phenomenal things with my business in terms of gaining a $5000 business grant, becoming the valedictorian of my class, and even diversifying into musical performances, making my own songs, to doing another workshop with Leap Junction and some faculty of Fanshawe College. With that being said, being able to do my workshop and test it in a practical setting, I was able to get a lot of feedback from the workshop and areas that I can improve on. Now in order for me to actually succeed and make the money and impact that I want for my vision, I have to pivot from stress management into musical team building.

(RKease Workshop)

I was able to speak to my mentor Dave Ouellette who is seen on the right next to me on the screen and he was able to give me a lot of constructive criticism about my workshop and how it can improve to be better.

(RKease 5 Pillars: Stress Education)

First of all, when it comes to this concept, in which I call it "stress education", it was hard for the people in the workshop to grasp the concepts. It was very "high-level" going into the science of stress and they couldn't see the connection to how the stress education connected with the jingles. Therefore, that incited me to want to switch my workshop a bit and instead of speaking on stress education, speak on the importance of team building which I will get into the second. Next, the team felt like they were being lectured throughout the presentation, and had to think too hard in order to grasp the concepts with the stress education which was high level. The group enjoyed the hip-hop though, and loved the fact that I am using hip-hop in these workshops because it is completely unique and diverse.

Therefore, I am going to make some changes to the beginning of my workshop and start speaking on the importance of team building, creativity, cohesion, and inclusive workplaces. This will allow me to lecture less and bring in more music for the workshop and we can eventually get to the jingle creation part faster. Also this elevates the pressure off me because I can focus on entertaining more and lecturing less in order to be more positive, lively, and have more fun!! With that being said, I hope you enjoy the blog and stay tuned for more soon, peace!! :)
