"Patience is bitter, but it's fruit is sweet" - Aristotle
Patience, being poised during the hard times, keeping calm, so one day you'll shine.
Over the course of months, I have always been posting different techniques and giving insights on how to manage stress effectively so that you can continue to live prosperous and efficient lives. This subject on stress management that I wanted bring forth speaks on the power of patience, and how being patient enables you to manage your stress and overcome your stressors continuously so that you don't succumb to the pressure and fold. One aspect and virtue that is well known and extremely important to stress management, which I can speak on, is the power of patience.
Patience by definition on google is "the capacity to accept or tolerate delay, trouble, or suffering without getting angry or upset." Certain synonyms which go with patience are tolerance, self-restraint, serenity, tranquillity, and understanding. These words are important because stress is the exact contrary to each of these, stress is difficulty, trauma, suffering, pain, grief, etc. Therefore patience enables you to manage the issues which arise when you go through strenuous times and have a positive attitude so you can navigate through strain successfully and come out on top.
Personally, there are so many ways to enhance your patience, such as reading, deep breathing techniques, exercising, such as playing a sport, walking, etc. But since I am a lover of music and my business includes making jingles, I love offering music as a solution to increase your patience. The word music in etymology means to "muse", therefore it means to be absorbed in thought. When your absorbed in thought, you are relaxed, poised, it enables your mind to be more at ease. Therefore, as my favourite quote from Hippocrates goes, "as long as the brain is at rest, a man enjoys his reason", so music relaxes you allows your mind to be more thorough and think through things accordingly.
For example, when you listen to classical music, such as Beethoven, Mozart, and you allow the rhythm to bask in your senses, your thought process slows down, and the serenity takes over. Therefore, your reason arises and patience begins to take over so you begin to gain more wisdom. This is why patience is imperative to have and it's called a virtue because of it's treasures. All in all, listen to more music and you'll gain more patience, wisdom, and execute on your endeavours. Have a great rest of the day, and enjoy your week, stay tuned!! Peace!! :)
